"Rabbitcadabra"

Who remembers the mid 1980's Great America Theatre Royale show "Rabbitcadabra" which was a magic show hosted by Bugs Bunny? This show opened at the Gurnee Great America park in 1984 even at the time of the Marriott's-Six Flags transfer.

Skee Daddle

Do you remember a Skee-Ball parlor/game room in Great America named "Skee Daddle"? It was in the County Fair area.

Whack-a-Mole

I never saw Whack-a-Mole at the Gurnee Marriott's Great America in 1979-early 1980's, but I remember the Skee-ball areas (one Skee-ball area was called "Skee-Daddle").

1976 Newspaper advertisement

Nice scan of the 1976 Marriott's Great America Santa Clara, California newspaper advertisement, Tanya. Do you think the artist who did that Marriott's Great America ad is Jack Davis of Mad Magazine fame?

The Edge

Do you remember the freefall ride The Edge at the Gurnee, Illinois Marriott's Great America from 1983-1984? It was shut down for good in 1984 when a rider broke his neck or something like that while riding. The Edge spot at the Gurnee Great America is nowadays taken over by a ride called The Power D...

Who remembers the Theatre Royale at Marriott's Great America? At first it housed Bugs Bunny stage shows but in 1983-1984 the first non Bugs Bunny show at Theatre Royale was "It's a Magic World". My favorite Theatre Royale show was the "Bugs Bunny Las Vegas Revue" - Where I notice...

Great America Supermarket Promotions

Besides getting advance tickets for the Marriott's Great America parks (Jewel/Osco/Turn-Style for the Gurnee park, Safeway for the Santa Clara park), were there also Great America Supermarket promotions. I remember in 1979 the Jewel and Osco stores were giving away free Great America coaster posters...
