Shapiro Out, Reid-Anderson in.

Post by NotBill »

Some new developments, sure, I fix it on Wikipedia and not update folks here!!

I'm a bit worried, Reid-Anderson seems like one of these financial types who is the "comeback from reorganization" types. They get the company running decently enough to be bought out or liquidate -- I've rarely seen them turn it around and make it profitable again. He's going to be relying on Weber a lot I would think of running the parks.

However, I think this much is clear. I believe that Shapiro wanted to press on with his idea of returning Six Flags to their family roots. I think he had some major disagreements with the board and they forced him out in May, it took everyone by surprise. Now they bring in a financial wonk, worse yet, a BRITISH financial wonk to run an AMUSEMENT park. Call me worried because I'm a huge fan of Mad Men and to me this would be like Mr. Pryce taking over Six Flags! Hopefully I'm way off base.
