Road Show

Post by Tech Services 1 »

I have a couple pics from the 1982 Gurnee road show in my "Misc. Stuff" folder.
The road show was a blast, though I only remember bits and pieces of it . . .
I do recall a bunch of us crammed into the big Marketing Dept. van- the performers, First Lady Katy, a Show Ops manager, a Promotions rep, me (I played Sound Tech for the shows), and all of our gear.
I don't recall how many shows we did; we hit the major shopping malls in the area, and then went out to dinner afterwards. It was tiring, but a lot of fun!

I sure hope somebody else involved with the shows will write in to this site and fill in my memory gaps!!! :D

I saw that picture but I cannot for the life of me think what mall that was (looks a little like Orland Park, but I can't really tell.)

And if that mall is still open...
