Roy Rogers/Farrell's

Post by dth1971 »

Do you remember when Marriott's Great America had the Marriott owned restaurants Roy Rogers and Farrell's in its Gurnee and Santa Clara parks? Too bad Marriott's Great America never put a Bob's Big Boy in its parks.

These were not genuine examples of Farrell's and Roy Rogers. They simply renamed existing facilities in each park to promote these Marriott brands. In a way, this extended the concept of having the Hot Shoppe in Hometown Square -- the original Marriott brand.

Ed,

The Hometown Ice Cream Parlour was renamed to Farrell's. The Yu-Kon-Do-It was renamed to Roy Rogers.
