Where's the Marriott soundtracks???

Post by Mr. D.T. »

I was at the park today and I noticed something a tad different from last weekend:

The original park music was missing in action.

Yukon played disco from the 70s while County Fair had top ten hits from the 80s and Hometown Square had the oldies. At one point, I heard 'Tequilla' play there. Is this some sort of 'decades' celebration to commemorate the 45th anniversary? I think so.

Yours?

There was an issue with the music in the park today and Hurricane Harbor music ended up playing throughout the park.

I was at the park yesterday and noticed that as well. Up at Whizzer, the ride op's were talking about it.

We all were hoping it was not going to be like that for the rest of the season. Glad to hear it was just a mix-up in where the music is suppose to play!

When have I heard the following in Hurricane Harbor?

Jesse's Girl by Rick Springfield
Boogie Fever by Sylvers
Tequilla by The Champs
Heaven is a Place on Earth by Belinda Carlisle
Human by Human League
Bette Davis Eyes by Kim Carnes
Etc., Etc...

So they had an issue with the music. I never asked an official because there was no time.

I hope though that it might have been just temporary during the music in the park event. The piece of paper was just next to the show time listings. Hopefully that sheet of paper will be replaced with the showtimes.

Yeah I guess I was wrong, that was the problem one day LAST year . The music this year is to celebrate the 45th.
Although it does suck we loose the nice themed music, as Nolan would say, at least we havnt heard any music we dont like.
