Me too. I thought it was something more like Hay Baler.

Hard to believe that the Spinnaker ride only lasted a year (I think it was gone in '77?)

I think I saw parts from Spinnaker in the employee parking lot when I picked up my Paycheck for Discovery classes today.

^ Don't know what you saw, but I would highly doubt what was then a 2 year old ride would have been allowed to sit in a parking lot rusting for 31 years.

No I think there are some parts from it, like the lights and stuff from around the center, thats all not the whole thing, Next time I head up there (March 8 ) I'll take a picture of it.

There are lots of interesting pieces of this and that in the graveyard located at the west end of the employee parking lot. My favorites are the old totem poles. But you are right, there are pieces that look like could have been from the spinnaker. There are many old Marriott treasures scattered around the park. The SFGA folks just dump things where ever there is space. All types of old push carts behind Trudy's Sweet Shop.

Thanks for sharing the '76 pictures. I just love looking at the clothes of the park guests especially all of the polyester!! It is great to see how small the shrubs and trees are throughout the park when it first openned!!

Blast from the Past! Great Pictures. I, too, noticed how small all the trees are and the abundance of polyester clothing...hello '70s Show. It's funny to see that the park still looks much the same today but the people in those photos are now senior citizens and probably take their grandchildren to the park.
