Remembering MGA1
Remembering MGA1
I'm sure someone is wondering why I picked MGA1 as my username. Well, MGA1 was the radio signature for whomever was the current Park Duty Manager for the day during the Marriott years. It was always either the park's General Manager or one of the Directors...the really big shots. Sadly, I never made it past season supervisor, so my username is the closest I'll ever come to being the real MGA1.

That's where I came up with my username- It was the radio call sign for the lead in our department.
The highest "radio rank" I ever achieved was Show 1. I was in charge of Show Ops for second shift a couple of times, probably late in the season when they couldn't find anybody better . . .
I remember one rainy evening, the crew of Wilderness Theater was begging me to "flag" (cancel) the show, so they could knock off early.
It wasn't raining too much, just a heavy drizzle, so I made them sweat a while . . . then I threw the flag. Biggest decision I ever made as Show 1! Whoopie!
