Does anyone know why it's been so many years (at least 10) since Gurnee's Pictorium has shown a true IMAX film?
There are so many IMAX films from the 70's & 80's which are perfect for the theme park crowd. So what if they would be re-runs..... we still watch and love many re-runs on television.
Any insights?

They removed the IMAX projectors several years ago, probably around 2008? They did play some digital 3D films after that for awhile, but the projectors just didn't even come close to fitting the whole screen, so curtains were positioned on the screen to fit the projection area.
