You mean with the those REALLY bad restraints, and over-head that goes right under the breasts and then a killer lap bar? I think theirs one at the SC park today, The Revolution (now Hmb [Her Majesty's boat?] Endeavor, it used to go along with the Yankee Clipper's lighthouse (which is now covered with some "australian" cr@p to go with the Boomerang Bay theme). The Gurnee ride looks like it has a spaceship theme (How does that go with the name Power Dive?) and it also looks like it is in Orleans place. lol a big jumble of mess in this post yes I know but could anyone clear it up for me?
p.s. Why didn't the park put in another free fall ride, was their any other kind of free fall ride being made at the time?
Yes it was in Orleans Place, now Mardi Gras. It was themed after the movie Top Gun....they used to play "Highway to the danger zone" in the queue line. Nothing really fits into it's themed area anymore, really hasn't since Six Flags took over, little by little every year, a bit more of the themeing disappeared. Now there isn't really a whole lot that fits theme-wise anymore. Especially since Premier Parks took over Six Flags.
Interesting photo, I would have thought that they sold that ride. Is this located over by the employee parking lot? Do they anything else sitting around there?
No Veritical Velocity is in Yankee Harbor (or whatever it is now?) The Edge was is Orleans place and replaced by Power Dive, but I am still confused, what replaced Power Dive?
