Thanks so much for posting those consturction pictures of the American Eagle. Some of them I have seen before, as they appear in the book "The American Scream Machine" by Robert Cartman. But, most of them I had not seen, and it was great to see them.
From what the park has told me, the Eagle Model is still at the park. I was also told that for the 2006 season, they are going to try to have it on display somewhere in the park. As I find out more information I'll pass it on.

Thank you for posting these rare construction photos of the American Eagle. For such a huge coaster, the building of it went rather quickly! I have vivid memories of riding AE in early summer of 1981 and remember what an incredible wooden coaster it is. The lines were long, the anticipation grueling, that first drop AMAZING! Cool photos.
