My name is Timothy. I wanted to give you all a shout from Hawaii. I just stumbled on to this site and look forward to contributing in the future.

My Santa Clara MGA "career" was basically:
Starting as a merch employee at the Magic Shop in Orleans Place in 1980.
- Merchandise Lead in the back of Orleans
- Merchandise Supe in Hometown Square
- Merchandise Supe in Orleans place
- Merchandise Training Supervisor
- Resale Training Supervisor (with lots of fun side jobs...)
Other things I did..
- Fixed registers and timeclocks.
- Helped Supe the Picnic Grove.
- Helped in the VIP lounge (the "Consulate" above the Emporium).
- Helped with concert merchandising.
and some others...

Some Great America Friends and I went to Hawaii to visit in Sept '88 I fell in love with the place and moved in January of '89. Now I work full time in the Hawaii Air National Guard at Hickam.

Some fun memories I will expand on later...
- Employee Talent show and the escaping chickens running down the aisles (yes, I was part of that).
- Employee Olympics (I got to race in the reflecting pond)
- My "friends" trying to sell my jacket to UB40 before a concert ( I said no!) and other concert fun stuff...
- Not so fun stuff with the early Fright Nights...

And now a couple questions...

-- What was the name of the rubber spider we used to drop on guests in the magic shop ? = answer: Alex = BTW the unit number for Magic was 206.

-- What is this SKU 24207771 for? (I still have it down by heart...) Hint, Magic or Toy Shop CM's should know. Bonus: What was the initial price?
= answer: invisible dog leash / $3.00 =

-- What was the 212121 code for? (I don't know if still used)
= answer: to "force" or compute a check digit for a non-cooperative SKU. I won't go much more in case still used =

The others would be a guess. But, I am sure it will hit me in the middle of the night...
Plush, Toystore (212?), Atari Store, Balloons, "Accessories 208," China Shop 209 (Hummels and those dang dolls),

I will be in Santa Clara the 1st to 5th of July. I might try and visit the park again. I was there the Sunday before Memorial Day - They gave military free admission - Very nice of them

Thanks for the prompting Jerie...
I was thinking 237 for balloons but thought that might have been plush horse in County Fair (I think they were close in numbers).

I am in contact with Denise and Keith quite a bit. I was in Santa Clara during Halloween and they came over with their son. Also, hang out with Bill (one of the trainers) when in town. (we are all still huge D-land fans). I talk with Cathy once in a great while. I talked to Mel on the phone about a year ago. And hadn't talked with Gayle in a bit.
