Hi,
That ride was originally called the Big Top. It was installed on a pedestal inside the track of the Barney Oldfield Speedway, similar to how the Davey Jones Dinghies were installed on a pedestal inside the track of the Traffique Jam antique car ride. The Big Top was later relocated to the Southwest Territory. There it is called the Ricochet. You can see photos of it at its new location and with its new look here:

The Big Top was in Gurnee only. Santa Clara didn't have one.
Photos of the Big Top seem to be rather rare. It was a ride that people liked, but otherwise they paid it little attention. It didn't seem to be photographed too much. Right now, the only Gurnee Big Top photo that I can find is this one, which might be a little more close-up than what you wanted:
