Marriott Stock Winner

In the 1st year of the park - the show ops dept had meetings of all their employees (usually in the Theater Royale) - at those meetings they would have fun contaests and things ---- one of them being ---- they would hide a share of Marriott stock under several seats in the theater and then ask everyone to look under their seats for a prize.

I was one of the lucky people who received a share of Marriott Stock- along with 9 others. I still own my original share of stock that has SPLIT several times.

I was wondering if ---- anyone still has their share of stock and
did they continue this practice in the future years
(say from 79 - 85)

Hey, Joey,

That's a cool story. I never heard of a contest like that with stock certificates, but it sounds like it was a fun idea. After hanging on that stock for so long, if you ever do sell, try not to spend the money all in one place.
