Gurnee Bone Yard for Shockwave

Related to the topic of bone yards used for dismantled rides...This picture shows how massive a ride can be after it has been dismantled. While Shockwave was not part of Marriott's heyday, it is worth a look see. :shock: How shocking!

SHOCKWAVE was built over what was originally the bus and trailer section of the guest parking lot. Employees were instructed to park in that section while "playing" in the park. A key difference between Gurnee and Santa Clara was that a road connected the employee lot to the guest lot in Gurnee. Santa Clara did not have that direct connection between the two lots.
