Just for clarification there are two books with nearly the same title. The out-of-print book is the one I mentioned; The Great American Amusement Parks which contain the two MGA photos and there's a newer book titled The American Amusement Park by Dale Samuelson. Both have great coverage on theme parks.Tanya wrote:Thank you for the info. I think I've seen that book on Amazon.
I remember both, because I remember one being out of date.

The Z force article was found stapled to the inside back page of a 1982 Marriotts Brochure which has an image of the Tidal Wave. The ZForce article is from 1985. I agree that this was a poor way of storing an article. The staples have been carefully removed and I will scan the back page and post it. For the moment my scanner is having some issues, but I get around this shortly. Also I do have a much larger Zforce article which I plan on posting as well.BrianPlencner wrote:Redfishpaw,
That article about zforce is cool, but why, oh why did you staple it over something to do with Tidal WAVE?? On the right side, about 1/2 way down, you can see one of the waves.
I would like to see what's under the ZForce Article myself!

I now have my other Z FORCE article scanned from July 23, 1985.
It is from the Milwaukee Journal's Green Sheet.
(Yes the newspaper really is green). Scans are B/W

Interesting note: the park was open daily till 11pm in 1985.
I was working at the park during 1985, I had forgotten that we were
open that late.
