Davey Jones Dinghies

Davey Jones Dinghies was another ride installed only in Gurnee and not in Santa Clara. Making optimum use of available space, Davey Jones Dinghies was placed atop a pedestal constructed within the course of the Traffique Jam antique car ride. Across the park in County Fair, a similar pedestal structure was placed within the Barney Oldfield Speedway antique car ride for the Big Top. Traffique Jam cars wound their way around and even under the Davey Jones Dinghies. Supplied by the European firm Intamin, the trade name for Davey Jones Dinghies is an Intamin Flying Dutchman. This is not to be confused with the Vekoma Flying Dutchman roller coaster, which made its debut at the Santa Clara park in 2000 as Stealth.
